Moodle Tip

Can I edit my own profile?
Yes, you can! Each student in Moodle has the option to Edit Profile and this can be found when to click on your name in the upper right of any page. You can add a picture to your profile, and write a short piece of suitable text. You can also make blog entries to your Profile. Profiles are very helpful in adding a social dimension to your academic coursework in Moodle. Teachers and other students can get to know you a little bit better through your profile. Bearing this in mind, appropriate use of the profile is important.

Welcome to FCASD Moodle

Fox
Moodle is an interactive e-learning environment. In Moodle teachers can interact with students beyond the classroom walls. This virtual learning environment can supplement any course with enrichment materials and extended learning opportunities or even serve as an entire course. Fox Chapel Area School District is excited to implement this new aspect to learning.

Course Blogs
by Mr. Hand ∴ - Friday, August 8, 2008, 01:16 PM

We've added a 'Course Blog' activity that will allow a facilitator to create a blog within a given course versus the site-wide blogs which were only previously available. Please note, this is an experimental addition to our Moodle system and there might be some bugs to work out and it might not work with future Moodle upgrades. Please consider this activity as a pilot and not a permanent addition (though we'll try to make it so). Many folks have been looking for something such as this, so let's give it a shot!

All courses have been turned off for the beginning of the school year. If you plan to reuse a previous course, you must turn it back on - all prior content is still available. To turn your course back on, log in to your course, under Administration on the left, select Settings. Scroll down to Availability and select from the drop down box, "This course is available to students."
